MRO Hangar Facility

Works on the excavation at the new MRO Hanger Facility at Malta International Airport have re-commenced after having the site approved from local Authorities.  In addition to the excavation, works are also in progress on the construction of several base foundations.  These foundations are being constructed using reinforcement steel and concrete.

The works are being carried out by EPAM JV, formed between Polidano Group, FMCore, E&L Enterprises Limited and Aircraft Support Industries.

The MRO Hangar Facility is being constructed for SR Technics, which is a Swiss-based world leading MRO service provider for the civil aviation sector that offers its customers comprehensive and fully customized solutions for the technical support and management of their aircraft fleets, engines and components.

The works shall be under the supervision of the Architectural Firm IAS.

The expansion for SR Technics will bring an investment of 35 million euro and create 510 employees, 200 of whom have already been recruited.
